With the newly opened Greenway, a cycling and walking track which stretches from Westport to Achill which has recently won a European award for excellence, there is even more to do on your visit to County Mayo, and there are no shortage of hire bikes available in Newport town itself with two dedicated bicycle business that can rent you bikes.

Apart from the cycling Newport and the Clew Bay area offer a range of activities from sea and lake fishing, golf, beautiful beaches, stunning scenery and a multitude of things to do and places to explore in the towns and villages of Mayo.
